November was an especially busy month for the Outreachy Organizers as we worked through intern selections and vetting. It’s during such intense periods that you truly see the strength of teamwork. Every team member brings unique skills to the table, allowing us to work more efficiently.
After what felt like the longest vetting period, we’re thrilled to welcome 25 amazing interns to the Outreachy community. We’re proud of each of these individuals, and with more support, we can select ever more interns in future cohorts. By donating to the Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC), you directly contribute to Outreachy’s mission of empowering underrepresented groups in tech.

This month, the SFC fundraiser campaign officially kicked off, and it’s been incredibly heartwarming to see inspiring posts from Outreachy alums on social media. These posts are a powerful reminder of the program’s impact—helping talented individuals make meaningful contributions to open source. If anyone ever doubts the impact of Outreachy, just point them to these powerful stories.
On December 9th, our new interns will officially begin their journey. It’s always exciting to watch them learn and grow, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish during their internships.
